Norweco of New York proudly serves as the exclusive distributor of Norweco products across the state, specializing in advanced, eco-friendly wastewater solutions like the Hydro-Kinetic system. Established in 2022, our foundation is built on over six decades of experience in Long Island’s septic industry, with a mission to safeguard our island’s natural beauty by reducing nitrogen pollution and protecting our aquifers, beaches, lakes, and marine life.
Testament to our Commitment
The installation of the Norweco Hydro-Kinetic system at Lake Ronkonkoma County Park, funded under Suffolk County’s Reclaim Our Water initiative (link to article), is a critical step toward reducing nitrogen levels and revitalizing the lake. This system is designed to remove 2,100 pounds of nitrogen annually, helping to safeguard Long Island’s water sources and contributing to the lake’s long-term health. Spearheaded by Legislators Leslie Kennedy and Tom Cilmi, in collaboration with local civic groups and environmental advocates, the project aims to treat over 1,500 gallons of wastewater per day, ensuring treated liquids are safely dispersed.
This initiative is part of a larger effort to restore and protect Long Island’s environment, which includes similar wastewater system installations like the one at Locust Valley Library. At Norweco of New York, we are proud to play a role in these efforts, working closely with the community to preserve the beauty of Lake Ronkonkoma and other local landmarks for future generations.
